In the second part of our look at the Washington-Oregon match-ups, today Duck Sports Authority brings you the defensive side of the ball.
DEFENSIVE ENDS
Washington: Washington plays a 4-3 defense, but use their personnel as effectively as possible. Josh Shirley (6'3", 229) starts at one defensive end position with Everette Thompson (6'6", 272) on the other side. Thompson is a good tackler with 29 total tackles on the season including 2 sacks. He also uses his hands effectively in the pass game having amassed 4 passes defended this season.
