Struggle is good
Today i Was able to pout some thoughts to paper and got another 1100 words piled in. Now, that is not a lot, but for 30 minutes during lunch that is a nice little bit of work. So far this project has about 12,000 words. I was able to pen about 4000 words this week.
A decent sized novel will be anywhere from 120,000-140,000. With my pace, that makes it at least another 6 months before I even consider editing and going that route.
I am not sure what I will do with it once completed. It is so difficult to do more than simply write it, but who knows where it will take me. Sometimes it is tough to change hats from sports and recruiting to a novel which is a philosophical/spiritual journey of a fictional character. But I trudge through.
I can be sitting around doing little when inspiration hits... I put a general direction to the first half of the book on piece of paper today and that should help.
in the mean time, if I include the articles published this week, there are closer to 6000 words... and that does not include my stream of consciousness... so, I am working always trying to develop this character, this project.
Struggle is good.
